A flexible fly-in safari to the Linyanti and Okavango Delta This safari explores the contrast of the awe-inspiring Okavango delta and the unique Linyati area famed for its Elephant herds. There are many camps to choose from each of them with there own character.
This safari departs on any day of the year to the camps of
your choice in the Linyanti, and Okavango It is recommended depending on time
constraints that you spend three days at each camp. Quite a few of the camps
offer water based activities such as mokoro trips (a mokoro is a dug-out
canoe), game drives on boats specifically designed for the waterways and bush
walks. To the northeast, the Linyanti area offers a very different wildlife

Days 1 - 3: Linyanti
On arrival in Maun you will be met by a representative who will assist you with your transfer to your camp in the Linyanti which is located in the private 125 000 hectare Linyanti Wildlife Reserve which borders onto the western boundary of Chobe National Park. Dumatau camp is built on raised boardwalks under a shady grove of mangosteen trees, overlooking a large hippo-filled lagoon on the Linyanti waterways. The area is famous for its elephant concentrations in the winter months and for the great general game viewing all year.
Days 4 - 6: Linyanti - Okavango land based activity camp
After your early morning Game drive, you're flown to Joa camp where you can experience the true Okavango Delta. Permanent water all year round allows one to enjoy an unparalleled variety of activities including foot safaris, mokoro trips, game drives and powerboat outings in total privacy. Enjoy a classic Delta experience while you sit back in a mokoro (dugout canoe) and silently glide through the wonders of the tranquil Okavango waterways observed by a myriad of delta creatures.
Day 7: Transfer back to Maun
After your early morning activity you will catch your charter flight back to Maun where you catch your onward flight.
